UNIJOS Students Desert Campus Despite Resumption Notice From Management


According to a report by Lumidy TV / Lumidysblog.com, the University of Jos has remained deserted despite an announcement informing all students to resume fully on 18th February 2019, after the supposed election that was suppose to take place on the 16th of February but now rescheduled for Saturday 23rd February and Saturday 9th March.

ThankGod Emmaual, a student who spoke with Lumidy TV / LumidysBlog.com reporters, said: “Everyone is scared to come back. There is are rumours of tension in around the school metropolis, so we will wait until everything dies down. Everyone is still scared.”

Another student, Aruorivwoghene kolawole who braved the situation and went to school, said: “I didn’t meet anyone there so I quickly turned back. Even lecturers are not around. Everyone is shaken and we need things to be done quickly to protect us. There is no security here and that is the truth.”
